Welcome to the Safe Mobility of Older Persons webpage. We are a committee under the National Academies' Transportation Research Board (TRB). We are an active group that meets annually to address relevant and pressing issues regarding safe mobility and older adults through research dissemination, action groups, and additional conferences or workshops. Our purpose is to stimulate quality research and evaluation, provide a forum for interested researchers and practitioners to disseminate research and related information to those involved and interested in improving the safety and mobility of older persons. Much of the information gathered from this committee, as well as news from other organizations, can be accessed from this webpage.
